A new moon asks nothing of you but a seed and your intention. This working plants that seed on the dark of the moon — quietly, deliberately — so that by the time she is full again, there is something ready to be harvested. Career change is rarely instant. This spell isn't either. It's a beginning, sealed and sent, waiting on the work of two weeks and your own two hands.

The Ritual

  1. Set Your Space Light your green candle. Let it be the only light if you can — this is dark-moon work.
  2. Write Your Letter On the paper, write yourself a letter describing the seed of your ideal career path — see the template below for a full guide. Write it as something newly planted, not yet in bloom, but already alive and growing toward the light.
  3. Add Your Intentions Place the bay leaf and a pinch of dried basil inside the letter before folding it.
  4. Speak the Incantation Recite the incantation below while folding the letter toward you, turning it clockwise as you fold.
  5. Seal It Place the letter in the envelope. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on the seal, then drip green candle wax over it to close it completely.
  6. Take Action Mail it to yourself immediately. Then start actively job searching — the seed is planted, but you still have to tend the ground. Watch for it to arrive, and open it again on or near the next full moon to see what's ready to harvest.

What is planted dark and quiet under a new moon does not stay hidden. Give it two weeks, tend it honestly, and it comes up into the light on its own schedule.

Your Ideal Career Letter

Before you sit down to write, decide on the shape of it: the kind of work, the environment, the pay, the people, how your days will feel. Write it as a seed already in the ground — present tense, but planted, not yet in flower. Here's a template to work from. Fill in your own truth wherever you see a blank, or let it guide the shape of your own words entirely.

I am planting the seed of [the kind of work you want], and I trust it is already taking root. I work as [job title / role], in a place that feels like [the environment — quiet, collaborative, creative, outdoors, remote]. My days are shaped by [the kind of tasks or purpose that matter to you], and I am paid [the salary or income you're asking for] for work that respects my time and my worth.

This is still a seed. I do not need to see the whole plant to know it is alive. I am tending the ground with real effort — searching, applying, showing up — and I trust the harvest will come by the next full moon, or in its own right season.
